We’d rather show one real piece than ten thousand generated ones.
In 2024, AI-generated images began flooding every visual marketplace on the internet. By 2026, more than fifty million were uploaded daily. Algorithms can’t reliably tell them apart from human work and most platforms stopped trying.
We started PaintedByUs because someone had to draw a line. Not against AI as a tool against the quiet erasure of human craft when it’s sold next to a generated print and treated the same.
Every artist on PaintedByUs is verified before they can list. Every piece is original, made by hand, one of one. The result is a smaller catalogue than the giants and that’s exactly the point.
